Dragoş Cîrneci holds a PhD in Psychology with a specialization in neuroscience. He has taught at Tibiscus University in Timişoara, Babeş-Bolyai University in Cluj, the University of Bucharest, and is currently an Associate Professor at Spiru Haret University, Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences in Bucharest, as well as an associate faculty member at the University of Bucharest, Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences. He spent nearly 10 years as a researcher at the Romanian Academy and served for 7 years as a scientific researcher at the International Center for Research and Education in Creative Technologies (CINETic) – Cognitive Development and Applied Psychology through Immersive Experiences Laboratory. He is currently involved in a research project at the National University of Science and Technology POLITEHNICA of Bucharest, Faculty of Engineering in Foreign Languages.

Dr. Cîrneci has published over 70 articles, authored four books, and contributed to four collective volumes. In 2004, he published the first book on developmental neuroscience in Romania (The Unmasking of the Century: What the Brain Makes of Us). In 2010, he conducted Romania’s first neuromarketing study and, between 2009 and 2013, introduced the first brain training exercises available in stores across Romania and subsequently on an online platform. Since 2010, he has conducted studies in the interdisciplinary field of psycho-neuro-immunology. His expertise focuses on the study of autobiographical memory and its connections with emotional processes, well-being, and immunity.
